Turf Equipment Technician
Salary : $45,000 to 55,000 (DOE)

Course Operation: Council Fire is a 18 hole private club located in Chattanooga ,Tennessee designed by Bob Cupp. Council Fire has Miniverde bermudagrass greens; 419 Tees, Fairways and Roughs. New equipment lease in 2017.

Duties : Candidate must be self-motivated. The duties consist of troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs of all golf course equipment. The ability to manage inventory as well as ordering parts. The candidate needs to have a strong background in electrical and hydraulic systems. Small gasoline engines, utility,cart and commercial equipment repairs. Candidate needs to keep a orderly and clean shop, along with good record keeping.

Requirements : High School diploma. 3 or more years experience in golf course equipment maintenance. Reel grinding and set up experience a must. Diesel and gasoline engines repairs and preventative maintenance. Welding and fabrications. Candidate must be able to work weekends and special events if needed.

Equipment Technician, Deer Brook Golf Club, Shelby, NC

Deer Brook Golf Club is currently looking to fill the position of Equipment Technician. We are a semi-private, 18-hole facility that opened in 1999. We have L-93 bentgrass greens, 419 bermudagrass tees,fairways and roughs.

The Equipment technician will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of approximately 35 pieces of turf equipment from Toro, Jacobsen and John Deere. This includes setting up and implementing prevenative service maintenance, repairs, keeping accurate records and making sure parts inventories are kept up to date, grinding reels and bedknives, daily setup of mowing equipment.
The potential applicant will need to be self motivated, be able to communicate effectively, and be able to work well with others to promote a “team effort” atmosphere. The potential applicant should also possess a thorough knowledge of: hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and diesel and gas small engine repairs, welding and metal fabrication.
